Ars Poetica

’You know, I am an artist working with a traditional spirit, thought I wouldn’t even say traditional, but classical. The more I understand about the multifaceted usage of materials in contemporary art, about the incorporation of ephemeral materials into works of art, I feel stronger that I cannot depart from noble materials. After all, how else could artistic thought and action survive over the period of centuries?’ (Excerpt from an interview with Tamás Szabó, 2011)
