„MY PICTURES ARE ACTUALLY STORIES WHERE REALITY, IMAGINATION, AND FABLES ARE MIXED WITH EACH OTHER. DESPITE THIS, I CANNOT SAY TOO MUCH ABOUT THESE. I START PAINTING THEM BY APPLYING ANTIQUE FAMILIAR PORTRAITS, PRIMARILY BECAUSE OF THE INSPIRATION OF KITANO TAKESI’S FILM „DOLLS”.

THOUGH I CANNOT REALLY TELL THE REASON WHY I GOT INVOLVED IN IT, WITH ITS CONCENTRATED EMPTINESS AND STATIC BEAUTY THIS FILM SURELY LED ME BACK TO THE HUMAN FIGURE. SINCE THEN, I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING FRAMES AND PHOTOS WHICH ARE SUITABLE FOR GETTING ME INTO SUCH CREATIVE EXCITEMENT. MY PAINTINGS-BASED ON THEIR COLORS AND TOPICS- SOMETIMES MIGHT HAVE A DEPRESSING EFFECT, BUT AT THE SAME TIME, THE ALLOY OF HUMOR AND IRONY ARE ALSO REPRESENTED WHICH HAVE PARTICULAR SIGNIFICANCE TO ME.”

In 2008, the Léna Roselli Gallery launched a program called “Arrivals” to support recently graduated artists.

For the first time after their university studies, many artists were given the opportunity to introduce themselves, the Gallery organized a solo exhibition for them and supporting them with purchasing artworks from the artists.

Our “Arrivals” were ; Ágnes Podmaniczky, József Pinczés, Gábor Pintér, Gábor Király, Kim Corbisier, Norbert Hegedűs and Dániel Galambosi.
