Studies

Dóra Juhász studied painting since secondary school: between 1989 and 1993 she studied at the Secondary School of Applied and Fine Arts in Budapest, her hometown.

After that she studied abroad for a year, at the Chelsea College of Fine Art in London, where she got a BA degree.

In 1995 she came back to Hungary, where she studied fine art painting at the Hungarian University of Fine Art in Budapest until 2000.

Prizes and scholarships

Among her prizes and scholarship we have to mention the Art Universitas program in 2009, the STRABAG Painting Prize (creative fund) in 2004 and in 2003-2005 she won the Derkovits Gyula fine art scholarship.

Art in public spaces

You can see Dóra Juhász’ works of art in many places in Hungary, including the Janus Pannonius Museum – Modern Hungarian Gallery in Pécs, the Gresham Palace, Four Seasons Hotel in Budapest, the Corinthia Hotel in Budapest, ING Bank in Budapest and the Dunaújváros College building. You can also see Juhász’ work abroad, at the W Hotel in Dallas, Texas (USA).
