Mihály Munkácsy Prize-winning Hungarian artist.
Eszter Csurka is a real “total artist”: painter, sculptor, performer, photographer, director, actor, set designer. He often makes his paintings with mixed techniques or collages, and is characterized by surreal motifs and a cinematic vision. He studied photography and applied graphics at the College of Applied Arts (1991-1997), and also attended the director-cinematography department of the College of Performing Arts (1992-1994). He has been exhibiting since 1991. He organized his first solo exhibition in 1994 in Szentendre. He is a member of the Studio of Young Applied Artists and the Association of Hungarian Artists. He lives and works in Budapest.
