Beáta Széchy

Beáta Széchy was born in 1950 in Budapest and studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts between 1975 and 1980. In 1999 she received a Master’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She has been living in the United States since the late 1980s. In 1990, she founded the Hungarian Multicultural Center in Dallas, which has become an important center for Hungarian art in the United States. Since 1995, she has been organizing art camps for American artists in Balatonfüred. In 2001, an exhibition of her latest installation was held at the Ludwig Museum in Budapest. She has participated in several international group exhibitions in America.
